A Holiday Visit to
Oakwood Village Senior Home

Nine of our pageant royalty took an afternoon to spread some holiday cheer to the residents of Oakwood Village Senior Home in Auburn. They handed out Christmas cards and gave a holiday performance.

Sharing their talents were: Deleste, Heather, Tessa & Kathrine who sang and played the violin, Courtney performed a tap routine and Casey sang two songs. Then the entire group, including Ashley, Jessica and Marissa all sang a rendition of "We Wish You a Merry Christmas!".

The visit was enjoyed by all, and the girls were invited back to perform again!

Auburn
Light Parade

Even the extreme cold could not dampen the spirits of our pageant royalty as they rode in the Auburn Light Parade! Shivering and sharing the tidings of the holiday they wished the entire Auburn community a Merry Christmas! After the parade they all warmed themselves with the hot holiday salsa at Chevy's!

We would like to give a Special Thank You to Superior Livestock Feeds and Supplies for lending us the bales of straw for the parades, and to Far West Equipment Rentals of Lincoln for loaning us the trailer for the Auburn Parade.

Thanksgiving
Day

Once again on this day of thanks, our royalty selflessly spent their holiday afternoon serving Thanksgiving Day dinner to the Auburn community.

From ringing the bell for the Salvation Army (Marissa (L) and Ashley (R) are pictured with County Supervisor, Jim Holmes) to serving desserts to hundreds of people, the experience for these young ladies was priceless.

In Loving Memory Of
Sukhjinder "Suki" Sanghera
11/16/1992 - 11/19/2006

Sukhjinder Sanghera was born to Baljit and Manjeet Sanghera on November 16, 1992 in Sacramento, CA. Suki had two older sisters, Karin and Gerjeet. Suki was a beautiful girl with an amazing spirit. She greeted everyone with a big smile, open arms and the best hugs. Suki had a love for life. She lived the past eight years in Weimar, California with Todd and Amy, who were very blessed to have Suki as a part of their family. Suki had two more special sisters, Courtney and Abigail and two brothers, Robby and Anthony. The family treasured every day Suki was with them. She brought much joy and love into their hearts.

Suki enjoyed attending E.V. Cain School in Auburn, and being a part of her community. She loved going bowling, shopping, and all of the Auburn parades and pageants. She also loved camping, boating, fishing and Disneyland. Wherever Suki ventured, she brought joy and happiness. Suki went home to be with God on November 19, 2006.

"Suki was always a shining light in the audience of our pageants. Not a person could walk by her and not receive a "hello" or a compliment of some kind. Her soul was made up of kindness and her spirit exuded light. Suki will be remembered ....she touched our hearts and made us smile."
Toni F

"Suki was complimentary- every time Ryleigh played her violin in a pageant, Suki would always tell her how well she played. Suki was upbeat and positive, and she was a normal girl inside a body strapped to a wheelchair. I remember her "sisterly" irritation when Courtney was tugging on her ponytail and how she wanted so badly to get even with her but couldn't quite catch her. Regardless of how many girls she watched parade across the stage in beautiful gowns, she never begrudged them their moment and in fact, seemed to be crossing the stage vicariously through each of the princesses. Suki was beautiful, both inside and out. We will miss her."
Tami & Ryleigh H

_____________________

"Suki to me was like a good luck charm, when ever she was in the stands watching all of the California girls compete she was our number one fan. If one of the pageant girls were down or felt their routine was not so great, it was Suki who had the kind words of encouragement and complements when each girl got off the stage that brought a smile to our face. I will always remember Suki as the bright and shining star cheering us girls on at every competition."

"There are so many nice things to say about such a precious little human being !!! We don't know where to start . . . heart felt optimistic enthusiastic bright & shining gleaming persona infectious smile unconditional love eternal friend We will all miss Suki but will cherish our short time of memories with her !!! We would like to say "Gods' Speed, Suki!!!"

Former Teen Miss Auburn
Shines at Auditions in Hollywood!

Recently, Tiffany, Teen Miss Auburn 2003, was afforded to opportunity to attend the International Performing Arts Conference Winter 2005 in Hollywood, California. She wrote and memorized a comedy monologue and also choreographed a lyrical dance with the help of pageant sister, Deleste. Deleste also allowed Tiffany to rob her closet of gowns and cocktail dresses. Toni helped to create a portfolio of great pictures in a matter of hours, and with the help of family and friends, she was ready. Tiffany competed in sit-com, soap opera, TV beauty commercial, monologue, trendy runway, high fashion runway, and dance.

According to Tiffany, "The experience of auditioning was amazing!!! Paul Mitchell and Joe Blasco had an entire room devoted to each of the contestants that wanted their hair and make-up done. This was one of my favorite parts of the whole experience, I felt like I was already a supermodel! "

At the IPAC awards ceremony, Tiffany was awarded second place in soap opera and first place in trendy runway model. She also received an overwhelming amount of callbacks from managers such as Steven Nash, head of Arts and Letters Management and agencies such as Coast to Coast, and Rage Models. She also met with several casting directors and producers and discussed the possible opportunities available to her, if she should choose to pursue a career in show business.

Tiffany added, "All of these things are just a glimpse of the intensity and excitement that was a major part of this unforgettable experience. No matter what I end up doing and where my life eventually leads, I will always remember where the excitement all began, on a stage in Auburn running for Junior Miss Auburn. Its no wonder small town girls can fly to LA and successfully compete, when founded upon the sure skills developed only through the tender loving care of friends and family, which I have so graciously been afforded. My love and infinite amount of gratitude goes to all of you who believe in the beauty of your dreams, it is because of your faith and friendship that I am, who I am today. Thank you for always believing."

We are very excited for Tiffany and wish her the best of luck with her future endeavors in this exciting business!
